This project was both the highlight and the lowlight of this class for me. I learned so many wonderful things and had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people, that overall it was a great experience. From having the opportunity to work with students, and not just any students but KS students who had a genuine interest in the farming practices of our kūpuna was amazing. I have no doubt that 20-30 years from now, I'll be working alongside, if not working FOR some of those haumāna that I was able to present to. Having the opportunity to make connections with elementary teachers even though I did not attend elementary school at KS was a blessing in disguise, as we all know sometimes in Hawaiʻi - it isn't what you know, it's who you know.
This project brought about lots of stress, anxiety, frustration, late nights, terrible drafts, and lots of attitude. But despite it all, I wouldn't have traded this experience for the world. I am glad that I got to share this journey with my two group members. Here's to our futures.

As this project comes to an end looking back it has been a good ride. This project was something that was different from the rest. The beginning stages of the project was a bit slow because our ideas were up in the air at first. Then through researching and talks with other kumu we settled down on going down to elementary and do what we did. I am glad that we took that route because it was a memorable one. I had a great group that made sure everything was done on time and everyone was kept up to date on blogs and what was happening. This project was fun because I came in during 7th grade so I didn’t get to experience elementary here. But being able to do down there as a senior and talk to them and encourage them to take the right route. Being able to talk to them and having them engage was a plus. All in all, I learned that through hard work, communication and a motive to do something it will get done and probably enjoyable. That is what the project came down to, it was a fun to do project and cooperating between our group made it easy and enjoyable.
Now that we got the presentation done with we can finally move on with this project and adding information/data for our final presentation tomorrow. Today was a day to rehearse our script and go over our presentation for tomorrow. This project will be exciting to share to the 10s of people coming. It was a great experience working with the kids and a lesson they will remember and hopefully carry on with them throughout their Kamehameha career. This project comes to a close tomorrow and itʻs going to be interesting to see other groups project. Going down and talking to the elementary was a great way to close out our (Judah, Kalawaia) Kamehameha journey.

Today was the day that we have been working so hard for. Today we finally went down to elementary to give our presentation to the 6th grade class about sustainability and using water/temperature trackers to help them on their journey to a sustainable future. Overall, we feel that the presentation exceeded our expectations and was a great experience for us and them. We really hope that the 6th graders learned a lot from us and continue to learn through the trackers that we left them, as we have learned so much from them through this while experience. This was a lot of fun and we are so thankful to Mr.Blake for helping us get out of class to give this presentation today.
